This is an imperious wine. Statuesque of composure, with a furl of tight, alluvial tannins running the main seam; bright maritime acidity and an impeccably woven tapestry of oak, sew down the edges. The fruit runs the gamut of currant, blue and black fruits all. Ineffable, really. Dried sage, anise and a litany of herbal notes pummel all into a compact, savoury ball of great potential. A very fine cabernet, aided by 18% petit verdot and 9% malbec.
