Full-ish red colour with a brick-red tinge. The bouquet is subdued, savoury and earthy, possibly reflecting the oak influence, and maybe a trace of sulfide. The palate is initally a little hollow and dips in the middle, but it changed enormously in the glass. It improved as it aired and warmed, building lovely perfumes involving cherry fruit and toasty oak. Ultimately, delicious. 27 JUL 2018 Drink 2018–2028
