As ever, the Bream Creek team are bringing the joy with their LD. One of 140 bottles, this is becoming the sort of wine that should make your firstborns a little unsettled. 11 years old and in a year that scared the pants off of many Australian winemakers, 2011 sparklings are proudly strolling into the fray in their Sunday best with scant regard for the hullabaloo that they’ve caused.
So youthful with bright fresh apple, lemon and white peaches, a saline and almond mine and a delightful crumble and pastry element that gives a nod to all those years on Lees before being disgorged in 2022.
Moreish and delicious, this delivers on so many levels, pack your firstborn’s bags, their time is up.

Straw-gold to brass colour with a delicate bead in the glass. Nose of buttered toast and cumquat marmalade. Palate fills with a richly textured mousse, powerful golden fruits meld seamlessly with bitter peel, honey, and toasty complexities to astound the senses as it persists longer and longer to the finish. Even amongst all this there's a freshness and vitality that suggests a late disgorged bottling.
