A broad red, this reveals plum, cherry, earth, tobacco and black pepper flavors backed by dense tannins, with a moderately long, fresh finish. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2024 through 2037

From Fèlsina's estate in Sinalunga in the Colli Senesi, this is mostly Sangiovese with a little Merlot. The soil type here has more sand, clay and marine sediments and the wines tend to be more forward than those from Chianti Classico, well suited to near-term drinking. This is medium bodied with perfumed preserved cherry fruit and liquorice, the palate fresh and satisfying.
