From a dry-grown vineyard planted in 1973. Peglidis is a name that sits comfortably alongside those of top sites from anywhere in Clare Valley. This is precise and racy, scintillating even, so intense it's almost breathtaking in its piercing zing across the palate. Scents are lime on green apple, fragrant talc, frangipani and grapefruit pith, flavours similar with a rapier-like thrust through the mouth. Brilliant, crystalline expression with so much freshness and vitality on its side. This drinks with vigour and a high-refreshment factor now, but will mellow gracefully over a very, very long time. A top-quality marque.

Wines by KT are small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit that have traditional techniques used in their creation. I’m passionate about the township of Watervale 5452 and am working with dry grown, sustainably farmed vineyards in the area. With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with both organic and biodynamic principles, it’s my intention to produce wines with drinkability and personality.
The Peglidis vineyard has been carefully tended by the same custodians for the last forty six years and is an important wine growing source for wines by KT. This dry Riesling and its intense fruit flavour, shows graceful power and is balanced with juicy acidity.
The hand picked fruit from the Peglidis vineyard, which is focused on natural farming, is the eleventh release from this vineyard. With delicate floral spice and succulent, fleshy citrus fruit, this wine displays all the fine hallmarks of the Watervale region.
