Though offered just as a village Volnay this comes from the Clos de la Rougeotte. Which produced a generous 7 barrels from one third of a hectare. Luscious, lifted and lively raspberry essence with a little touch of strawberry too. An excellent village but would have been short of a memorable 1er Cru if it had been labelled as such.
