Full-bodied, concentrated and powerful red with black fruit, pepper and abundant, ripe tannins
Single vineyard, hand-picked, 55% whole bunches, small open fermenters, 73% matured in used puncheons, 27% in concrete eggs. This is unexpectedly full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, with black cherry, blackberry, pepper and spice in a cradle of ripe, but insistent, tannins and (inexplicably) some oak. Balance is the key, but cellar it as long as you can. Drink to 2049.
