Elvio Cogno is one of Barolo's most revered family estates, founded by the legendary Elvio Cogno and today guided by Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore. From their historic hillside winery at Novello, the family crafts organically farmed Barolos that beautifully combine tradition, elegance and a profound respect for the vineyards of the Langhe.

Cascina Nuova is sourced from estate vineyards surrounding the winery, where limestone rich marl soils and the elevated Novello commune produce Nebbiolo of fragrance, finesse and remarkable ageing potential. Certified organic and vinified with a light touch, the wine offers an authentic expression of Barolo while remaining approachable in its youth.

The colour is a brilliant garnet red with youthful ruby highlights. Aromas of rose petals, red cherry and wild strawberry are layered with orange peel, liquorice and sweet spice. The palate is beautifully balanced, combining vibrant red fruits with finely woven tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of tar, dried herbs and earthy minerality emerge with time in the glass, leading to a long, savoury finish that captures the elegance of Novello.
