Medium-bodied with beautiful purity and length, this has ultrafine bubbles that blend in nicely and go on for minutes. Real clarity. 2020 base vintage with 25% reserve wines. No barrel fermentation. All pinot noir. Dosage 8 g/L. Drink now.

Pinot Noir sits at the heart of everything Bollinger does, and the PN series was created to showcase the variety in its purest form. Each release highlights a different base vintage and village, offering a fascinating insight into how Pinot Noir expresses itself through the lens of one of Champagne's greatest houses. PN TX20 takes its name from the 2020 base vintage and the village of Tauxières, a prized Premier Cru site that plays a leading role in the blend.

Founded in Aÿ in 1829, Bollinger has built its reputation on Pinot Noir, extensive reserve wine holdings and a fiercely independent approach to Champagne production. The house remains one of the few major producers to maintain traditional practices such as fermenting a portion of its wines in old oak barrels and preserving reserve wines in magnums. PN TX20 continues that commitment to craftsmanship, delivering a Champagne of depth, precision and individuality.

Bright golden straw in colour with a fine, persistent bead, the bouquet reveals aromas of yellow apple, quince and citrus peel layered with notes of brioche, roasted hazelnut and fresh pastry. As the wine opens, hints of spice, honeycomb and chalk emerge, adding complexity and intrigue. The palate is beautifully structured, combining ripe orchard fruits and citrus with creamy texture and remarkable energy. Pinot Noir provides both power and elegance, while vibrant acidity and mineral freshness carry through to a long, precise finish.

This is a superb Champagne for the table, pairing beautifully with lobster, seared scallops, roast chicken, tuna sashimi or mushroom tartlets. Equally rewarding enjoyed on its own, it offers a fascinating and delicious exploration of Bollinger's most important grape variety.
