Even at Auslese level, the nose of the Doctor is not trying to impress with exuberance but to enchant with fine aromas of fruit, encompassing a fair range from the regional to the exotic. On the palate, peach, nectarine and apricot meet orange and mango in a juicy and zesty expression with a sweetness that is all fruit and no syrup and an acidity which is happy to share honours for the best support act, with subtle nuances of minerality and spice.
