The nose is fruity and subtly smoky, with hints of candied orange peel and wood fires. Then mint toffee, sultanas and a suggestion of vine-ripened tomatoes, give way to a rare minerality and Glenmorangie’s classic fruit notes. A rich, spicy mouthfeel brings tastes of ripe peaches, apricots, melon and baked pears, laced with vanilla custard, cocoa powder and nutmeg’s gentle spice. The finish is sweet and lingering, with notes of honey and mead entwined with milk chocolate and sugared plums.
