Light yellow colour. Very toasty, almost burnt-toast aromas with hints of oak-barrel and quite complex. An extra level of character here, partly due to controlled but slightly obvious use of the oak barrel. Rich and yet fine and restrained, but deep flavour and creamy texture. Lovely wine: great harmony and balance. Effortless. Superb wine, but would be even better with subtler oak. 26 DEC 2011
