Bright, light green-straw; the class of the wine is obvious from the start, yet (paradoxically, perhaps) is less intense and brilliantly fruited than the best vintages under this great label. The toast on the bouquet has an uncharacteristic whiff of kerosene, which used to be seen as part of all mature rieslings.
