From two Gevrey 1ers surrounding Mazis-Chambertin - Corbeaux and La Perrière; vinified with 80% stems
A distinctly riper nose of spiced plum, wet stone, warm earth and coffee/mocha aromas that are cut with a hint of the sauvage that is also picked up by the impressively concentrated and opulent flavors that completely bathe the palate in dry extract that buffers the very firm and hugely long finish. This is a striking effort.
