Good full, deep red. Nuanced nose offers red cherry, redcurrant, brown spices, roast coffee, licorice and underbrush. Sweet and subtle initially, then turns more tarry and oaky, while maintaining wonderful spicy character to its dark fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes with strong but smooth tannins and a touch of smoke. I'd cellar this for at least another three years before pulling the cork.
