2010 Domaine La Barroche Chateauneuf-du-Pape Signature, Southern Rhone 1500mL Magnum

The most structured of the Signature releases, the deep ruby/purple-colored 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Signature (65% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah and the balance other permitted varieties) is still backward and tight. Giving up classic notes of black raspberries, black cherry, crushed rocks, pepper and garrigue, this full-bodied, concentrated, pure and fabulously textured red needs to be forgotten for another 2-3 years.
