Poggio al Tesoro's 2010 Sondraia is gorgeous. A warm, expressive bouquet melds into plums, mocha, cloves and licorice in a resonant, layered wine full of Bolgheri generosity. The 2010 is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, but it is the Franc that marks the wine with its distinctly exotic spice and floral overtones. What a beautiful wine.
