Very deep red/purple colour, youthful and impressive. Lots of oak to sniff, dominating the nose at first. But what good oak it is! Lots of black and blue fruits as well. The palate is medium to full-bodied and very firm, with lots of tannin, leading to a mouth-puckering, lip-smacking aftertaste. A very potent wine which needs a lot of cellar time. I wouldn't touch it for at least five years. Very impressive; great potential. 28 SEP 2013
