This Fromm La Strada Pinot Noir shows bright, intense fruits and subtle savoury undertones. Ripe, spicy cherry and plum nuances on the nose offer instant appeal whilst the palate is broad with seamless balance between fruit, acid and tannins. A wine of restrained generosity and length!
‘This wine is made to be ready for drinking upon release, by 'steering the fermentation towards more fruit expression and moderate tannins and structure'. The 2013 vintage (4.5*), hand-harvested in the Clayvin, Fromm, Quarters and Yarrum vineyards, was matured for 16 months in French oak casks (10–15 per cent new). Ruby-hued, it is mouthfilling and supple, with generous cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing very good texture and complexity.’ Michael Cooper
