The colour is a rich deep red, very atypical of this unusually cool vintage. The aroma immediately shows the peppery aromatics and lifted fruit found right across McLaren Vale in 2011. Complex chocolate, cigar and leather come forward with time in the glass. The palate is lovely and fine with a warmth to the mid palate which brings you back for more. Clean fresh fruit, fine tannin and good acidity provide a great background for further development in bottle. A little bit of patience will be well rewarded.
