Dark red. Ripe, dark red cherry, sweet pipe tobacco and aromatic herbs on the rich nose. Soft and supple throughout, with expressive floral and sweet spice notes lifting the ripe red fruit and tobacco flavors. Finishes smooth and long, with the telltale Montesodi chewy, fleshy texture. With 2011, this wine is now being labeled by the estate as Tuscana Rosso, which is a loss for Chianti Rufina.
