Vintage 2013 was generally mild with one warm period producing outstanding Merlot (52%), Cabernet Sauvignon (46%) Petit Verdot (2%). The three varietals were combined and matured in French oak for 14 months. The resultant wine is dark red in colour, the nose is intense with aromas of mulberry, wild blackberry and licorice combined with delicate smoky coffee French oak. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft round Merlot mouth-feel, black fruit flavours and a touch of dried herbs. A long and persistent finish. Excellent cellaring potential; cellar it 10 years if you wish.

‘Mid-red, some brick edges; a deep and brooding bouquet redolent of plum, earth and leather; sumptuous and rounded, with silky and finely grained tannins, it ticks all the Barossa boxes.’
