2012 vintage Goldfields Pinot noir once again highlights the classic savoury characters of this magnificent grape variety. Increasingly, this seems to be a function of the Bannockburn sub-region as opposed to the more fruity characters of other regions.
Light, fresh cherry-ish Pinot Noir with a hint of fresh herbs. Smooth-textured wine in an approachable and easy-drinking style. Good now but no rush 24 JUL 2014
