The 2012 Barbaresco is a gorgeous entry-level wine from Bruno Rocca. Soft, open-knit and expressive, this gracious, perfumed Barbaresco captures the essence of the year at this level in its giving personality. Hints of orange peel, dried cherry, herbs, tobacco, wild flowers and mint add nuance on the finish. All the elements are in the right place. The 2012 is not super-complex, but it is open-knit, expressive and easy to enjoy today. In other words, everything an entry-level Barbaresco should be.
