Medium to deep red colour, with a trace of purple in the rim. The bouquet is subdued and fruit-driven, with some toasty development creeping in, and the palate is dense and deeply structured but supple and high in extract. The wine has a leafy, meaty, funky aspect which is very appealing. It's quite complex, and finishes more firmly after repeated sips - there is certainly the structure here to age well. 10 OCT 2014 Drink 2014–2034
