Antonio Galloni’s comments:
Brezza's 2012 Barolo Cannubi opens with beguiling, captivating aromatics. Mediterranean herbs, licorice, anise, smoke, game and red stone fruits abound. Mysterious and constantly changing in the glass, the 2012 appears to hold significant potential. A closing blast of tannin gives energy to the red fleshed fruit, rose petal, mint and sweet spice notes. The pedigree and elegance of Cannubi come through in a Barolo that melds together power and finesse, although readers will have to wait a few years to catch the 2012 at its very best. Drink 2022-2042. Tasted March 2016.
