Hay Shed Hill Block 2 Cabernet Sauvignon is dense blood red with a dark centre. The wine displays ripe berry aromas of great intensity with underlying dusty and earthy characters typical
of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon.
Four years ago the nose was relatively closed. The reserves of complex aromas are now opening up. The substantial palate, too, has softened adequately in this wine showing smooth mouthfeel and tannins.
At 5 years of is starting to drink very nicely and will continue to improve over next 5 years. At this price, and this age the wine is a steal. Don’t miss out on it

Destemmed, open-fermented with pump overs, 10 days post-fermentation maceration, matured in French oak for 18 months. Vivid crimson-purple colour introduces a cabernet's cabernet, full of blackcurrant fruits ringed by the autocratic tannins that are unique to the variety. Because the balance is there, patience (which is essential) will be richly rewarded.
