2012 Larry Cherubino Shiraz, Frankland River

The heavyweight bottle sends a loud and clear message, as does the deep colour, and everything following thereafter. It is a wine defined by its intensity, length and balance; the black fruits, pepper, spice and cedar studiously avoid over-extraction or super-ripe fruit, the extremely long palate with black olive and earth cornerstones to the black fruits of the bouquet.

Medium purple-crimson, the purple component obvious; mocha, cooking spices and dark fruits on the bouquet carry through seamlessly to the palate. This is the most seductive of the three Yard '12 shirazs.
