Rich, firm and showing excellent persistence. There are no queries over the wine’s complexity either. Dust, herbs, a juicy flow of blackcurrant, earthen notes, tobacco characters. Toasty oak is a subtle influence at most. Eucalypt characters are there, as rising agents, without ever threatening to dominate. And tannin is a solid, majestic swirl through the back half of the wine.
