A Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot this wine was made to drink young. Lifted dark fruit aromas of mulberries and blackcurrants are backed by some spicy, white pepper notes from the Malbec and musk-like perfumes from the Petit Verdot; complex cedar and tarry notes in the background. As with the nose, palate is dominated by dark fruit notes, with juicy blackberry and red currant flavours; the acidity and tannin are firm but not in any way aggressive and are well balanced. It can be drunk now but as with all Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Margaret River, it has the necessary attributes required for cellaring. For those with the patience and who enjoy softer and more complex older wines, we suggest a further 5 years aging.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot. Appealing sweet berry fruit flavours with hints of spice and a suggestion of floral/violet character. Attractive and accessible red that’s deliciously drinkable now but should age well in bottle 18 APR 2014
