Prunotto's 2012 Barbaresco is finessed, gracious and classy. Crushed flowers, raspberries, sweet red cherries, mint and cinnamon lift from the glass. Slightly more forward hints of crushed rose petal, autumn leaves and orange peel suggest the 2012 is moving into its first plateau of maturity, so I would not wait too long. The 2012 is built to deliver near-term pleasure, which it will for the next handful of years. Drink 2014-2027.
