From fruit grown out on Te Muna Road, this has a wealth of dark fruits and saffron, mocha and chocolate. Quite an exotic-smelling pinot here and quite lifted. The palate is sturdy, the tannins are drying, and flavouurs of earth, chocolate and dark cherries pervade the boldly drying, cocoa powder finish.
