Relatively generous wood serves as the backdrop for the notably more deeply pitched nose that is comprised by notes of game, earth, dark currant and that sauvage character for which Gevrey is so well known. There is excellent richness and volume to the sappy and full-bodied flavors that display plenty of minerality on the highly complex, powerful and lingering finish. This has the potential to be excellent though again note that patience will be required. Drink 2025+
