'This smells good. Oak is in the background and adds a little nutmeg and spice over the core of black and purple fruit. There’s something of a violet perfume too, and a suggestion of black tea and clean earthiness. Full bodied, thick with ferrous tannin, sweet tobacco and deep black fruits, well settled acidity and a long ruggedly tannic finish. Such pleasure here, even as a young wine. They’ve built this to last, and they’ve built it well. Superb Cabernet of resonance and impact.'
