The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Village was showing some reduction like the Gevrey Village, although underneath there is some pleasant, savory black fruit waiting. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, quite lithe tannins. The fruit here is darker than the Gevrey with well-judged acidity and a slightly meaty finish. Fine. Drink now-2021.

While this is also notably floral there is a much broader range of spice elements present on the elegant nose of raspberry, violet and pomegranate aromas. The suave, round and succulent medium weight flavors possess plenty of mid-palate stuffing before terminating in a rich if ever-so-mildly austere and firm finish that delivers excellent length for a villages level wine. Recommended. Drink 2020+.
