Luscious release but in no way unrefined. More than a bit of class. Dense plum, woodsmoke, bitter chocolate and chicory favours flood into the mouth, build a deal of momentum and then push concertedly out through the finish. Fine, grainy, earthen tannin makes its presence felt, as indeed does smoky, cedary oak. This is a quite superb release.
