Includes 5% cabernet franc, 2% each of malbec and merlot and 1% petit verdot, matured for 18 months in French barriques (50% new). This is an exceptionally good cabernet by whatever standards you choose. It is extremely intense, yet its impact only catches you in a silken web, the tannins while very much present are so soft, the aromas and flavours are from another realm. Cedar, violets, spices, bay leaf and of course blackcurrant.
