Often referred to as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ the Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz is a unique and indulgent wine using grapes sourced from premium vineyards in the Barossa region, used to craft this exceptional wine. Best enjoyed chilled, and matches beautifully with rock oysters or roast turkey. A true celebratory wine to enjoy with family, friends and fine food.

Production Fermented on skins for 7 to 10 days, pressed, clarified and matured for 12 months in older French oak hogsheads. The base wine was then bottle fermented and aged on its yeast lees for two years.
Bright red with a dense black core, the aroma is abundant with Christmas cake and mulberries. The palate is quintessential for what Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz is known for - naturally low in tannins, soft and abundant in rich blue fruits. Best enjoyed now, however, will comfortably develop further in the cellar for a further 5-10 years.

Winner Best Sparkling Red Trophy Australian Sparkling Awards 2019

This joyous wine was aged in 300l hogsheads before a whopping 5 years on lees, following the traditional method: a second fermentation in bottle. The result is a giddy, frothy glass of red with a solid lick of sweetness oozing across maraschino cherry, root spice and earthy oak scents, akin to dried porcini and chestnut.
