100% Nebbiolo, the 2013 Roberto Sarotto Barbaresco Riserva is light to medium garnet red with a hint of fawn. Graceful and expansive aromas, suggesting poised ripeness and ample ageing: soft cranberry and pomegranate, with some wild-mushroom and forest-copse richness. Soft, settled, balanced and refined Barbaresco, yet the amplitude of the vintage gives it a wealth and a richness of contour which will see it age effortlessly for at least another decade.
