64% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot, 12% petit verdot and 4% malbec from vineyards in the north of Margaret River over 20 years old, separately open-fermented, 40% wild, left on skins post-ferment for four weeks, matured in French barriques and puncheons (50% new). The efforts in the winery have paid big dividends, this is an Aladdin's Cave of aromas and flavours, each having their say, ultimately uniting in the joyously juicy red fruits of the medium-bodied palate, framed by a complex chord of savoury, herbal tannins.
