A vibrant nose dominated by fresh red cherry and blackberry aromas, complexed by hints of wet stones, leather and dried herbs, such as sage and thyme. A lively palate following through from the nose dominated by a red cherry and blackberry flavour profile, along with a touch of cocoa, freshly chopped wood and dried herb characters. A mid-weight wine with a silky texture. This is your typical flavoursome and friendly modern Australian Shiraz.
2013 Tapestry Regional Collection Shiraz, McLaren Vale is made under the supervision of Steve Pannell,
Tapestry continues to over-deliver on both quality and price. Their 3rd wine is medium-bodied, has inky black colour with a dark purple black hue. Loads of aromas are evident on the nose with black fruits dominating. Black pepper and cedary notes are also present. The palate follows the beat of the nose with grippy long licorice aftertaste. Although 14.5%, it seems less.
Opened a bottle last evening and its drinking beautifully now and will continue to do so over the next 2-3 years, if you can keep your hands off it.
