2013 Terroir al Límit Vi de Coster Dits del Terra, Priorat

The pure Cariñena 2013 Dits del Terra is sourced from an ancient slope vineyard on slate soils in Torroja and aged in oak foudres for 18 months after a short, spontaneous fermentation. This cool vintage has produced an aromatic and fresh Dits, with tantalizing aromas of blood orange, with citric-like notes, getting close to the character of the Arbossar. It's perhaps the vintage, but this wine seems to have changed, for the best, it feels more perfumed, beautiful and all of a sudden you forget that the grape is supposed to be rustic. The palate has very fine tannins and great balance, a velvety texture but with grip. This is a fantastic Dits. Drink 2016-2023.
