Pale lemon in color, the 2014 Sigalas has a wonderfully exotic, tropical fruit scented nose with nuances of honeycomb, fresh ginger, allspice and a touch of lime blossoms. The rich, boldly fruited palate has a zippy line of freshness lifting layer upon layer of pineapple and guava inspired flavors, finishing on a long lingering spicy note. Drink 2021-2045
92+ points Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate, September2018
The Château Sigalas-Rabaud 2014 is a blend of 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc with 123 grams per liter residual sugar and 4.56 grams per liter total acidity. It will matured in French oak for a total of 18 months. It has a very focused bouquet with honeysuckle, orange blossom and white peach scents all vying for attention. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the viscous entry. The concentration is commensurate with the vintage, with plenty of depth and vigor on the lightly spiced finish. Superb. Drink 2018-2040.
