Full yellow colour reflecting its seniority; the bouquet is very toasty with nougat, baked bread and croissant aromas, the merest trace of parsnip, a lot of maturity showing. The palate is bone-dry and lip-smacking, the texture creamy and the impact powerful. It's very intense and ample but firmly tightly structured and super-disciplined. A super-serious Champagne for the cognoscenti. (Terroir: Avize. Dosage: 2.5 g/l. Disgorged May 2022)

Seeking for complexity and balance guides us through crafting our cuvée Extra Brut. The unique personality of vintage 2015 wines has been worked by the long ageing in cellars and allows us to reduce the added sugar that disappears behind the wine.
Senses awaken and the wine prevails. Warm aromas of maturity (licorice, wax, port wine, fennel) reveal an outstanding complexity, as well as a slow and controlled evolution. The wine is backed by a fresh and minty frame that brings a lot of elegancy and length.
A great Champagne wine that highlights with character the terroir of Avize. It has been crafted for gastronomy… or to be shared by the aperitif where our Blanc de Blancs are always a good choice.
Olivier Bonville, Winemaker
Due to its minerality and extra-brut style this wine is best enjoyed as an aperitif but will also pair beautifully with oysters or lobster. Drink now or cellar for up to 15 years
