Produced from four Pinot Noir clones on Greystone’s hillside estate featuring predominantly calcareous clay soils with sand stone and grey limestone. The wine spent 30 days in the skins before being pressed to French oak barrels (30% new). Rich, weighty and flavoursome Pinot Noir with dark-fleshed plum, dark cherry, licorice and subtle spicy flavours. More concentrated that usual with a silken and almost luscious texture. Lots of power as evidenced by the wine’s lengthy finish. Very impressive 15/8/2014
