Hand-picked, destemmed to open fermenters, 8 days on skins with hand pump overs, matured for 18 months in American and French hogsheads (30% new). Interesting wine; while very complex with a multitude of dark fruit aromas and flavours, the overall impression is of a cool vineyard - which it isn't, of course. Nor does the American oak intrude as it often does in an oak cocktail. I like it.
