Shiraz/cabernet sauvignon. The sort of powerful, inimitable expression that defines the echelon of super-premium South Australian wine. A blend of 2 disparate regions renowned for warm-climate shiraz and cabernet respectively. Malty oak scents. Cedar, leaf, licorice and cigar box, too. Dark plum. Asian spice. There is an umami breadth to this, imparted by a bit of bottle age. The tannins are resolving nicely, yet with plenty of strength and sinew left to carry this to a rewarding maturity.

Trophy | Best in Show by Varietal Shiraz/Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon category at the London International Wine Competition 2021
Deep, rich ruby colour with faint tints of brick and purple. The bouquet is layered and rich, ripe and quite complex with raspberry, cassis and earthy-chocolaty development. A hint of Ribena cordial. It’s full-bodied and rich, again very chocolaty and showing some developed flavours. It’s full-bodied, thickly-textured, not the most elegant wine but certainly generously flavoured and proportioned.
