Mid-red colour with a trace of purple. The bouquet is sappy and pinoid, seemingly showing some sousbois or foresty notes from whole-bunch fermentation. This adds to the complexity. The palate is savoury and soft with ample tannins and attractively sweet fruit. Medium-bodied and well-structured. Very long aftertaste. Very good value pinot. (The 15% whole-bunch proportion is well-judged.) 28 AUG 2015
