2014 Yering Station Reserve Shiraz Viognier, Yarra Valley

The grapes are sourced from Coldstream (91%) and Old Beenack Road in the Upper Yarra (9%).

This is a wonderful vintage where the fruit was able to ripen to maturity in cool conditions. Low yielding from 12-28 year old vines, only the best batches and selected barrels made it into the reserve program. Only parcels that express regional personality and display purity, concentration and minerality are selected.

The colour is exceptionally deep and bright, setting the scene for an exotic and compelling bouquet, the multilayered, medium to full-bodied palate lifting the bar even further. Here plum, black cherry, spice and cracked pepper join forces with ripe tannins, all in seamless balance.
