Take a jar of honey and drop in all the juicy, ripe and over ripe pineapple, orange and apricot fruits you can squeeze into the jar and you're close. All you need is a bouquet of flowers, vanilla bean and some acidity and you get the picture.
93% Sémillon, 6% Sauvignon, 1% Muscadelle
The 2015 Lafaurie-Peyraguey is pale lemon-gold in color with gorgeous candied citrus peel, orange marmalade and lemon tart notes with hints of musk perfume and honeycomb. The medium to full-bodied palate is rich and opulent with plenty of spicy notes coming through and a very long finish.Drink 2020-2046.

The 2015 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has a slightly taciturn bouquet at first, though it soon awakens to deliver pure wild honey and subtle marmalade notes, though it maintains a sense of restraint. The palate is well balanced and very pure, a sensual Lafaurie-Peyraguey with a very harmonious, light-spiced marmalade and honeyed finish. This is stylish and understated, but I suspect it will age extremely well. Drink 2020-2055.

Silvio Denz's 2015 Lafaurie-Peyraguey is terrific. Understated and wonderfully nuanced, the 2015 exudes class. The tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, apricot, honey and chamomile notes are beautifully sketched. There is so much to like. The blend is approximately 96% Sémillon, 4% Sauvignon, 1% Muscadelle from yields of just 10 hectoliters per hectare. Denis Dubourdieu consults.
